God’s Love We Deliver cooks and home-delivers nutritious, medically tailored meals for people too sick to shop or cook for themselves. They also provide unlimited nutrition education and counseling. God’s Love is a non-sectarian organization serving people in need in New York City. All of our services are provided free to clients and full of love.

Volunteer on projects in our kitchen with the guidance of our on-staff chefs. Tasks may include packaging meals, chopping onions, making meatballs, ladling soup, peeling potatoes, scooping baked goods, or preparing fresh herbs.

If you are uncomfortable in a kitchen setting, including working with sharp knives, this is not the project for you.

 

Please arrive ON TIME for your registered event. Being punctual is very important to maintain a meaningful volunteer experience. If you are more than 60 minutes late you will not be able to participate in your scheduled event.

PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT IF YOU CAN NOT MAKE IT OR THINK THAT YOU CAN NOT MAKE IT.  IF YOU ARE REGISTERING WITH A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER THEY WILL NEED TO REGISTER SEPARATELY.

Covid 19 Protocols:

  • Please do not come if you have been exposed.  You may cancel up to one week for a refund.  Within one week you will be given a credit to use for selected events.
  • We will take temperatures when you arrive.
  • Face masks must be worn while within close proximity..

 

Can I come alone?  Yes, 98% of those attending this event normally register on their own. If you wish to register with a friend they need to register separately.

Do I need a ticket? No, your name will be on a list.

Dress Code:  casual, no open toe shoes

How will I find the group?  We will send you a confirmation email with exact locations, contact info, and names of those who are hosting the event when you register. We will send follow up emails as we get closer, usually the night before or the morning of.

Ages: 21+  Most of our events attract 20’s -40’s although some events can skew younger or older (50’s) depending on the event. Some events are clearly age specific as indicated.   If this is an issue for you contact Dave at the address below and we can usually give you a very accurate idea of what to expect.

Who Comes to These?: We have reserved 5 spaces out of 20 to assist in this task for the day.  The other 15 people will come from individuals and other groups.
