Join us for a day of fresh air and socializing in the beautiful Hudson Valley!  You will enjoy 4 great features of the area.  First we will enjoy lunch at our private riverside campsite then set out for an easy-moderate hike along the shores of the Hudson River at the Black Creek Preserve.  Following the hike we will visit a winery for a special tasting.  Then it is off to a local farm stand for fresh fruits, veggies, local honey and more.  Finally you will have a chance to walk across the famous “Walkway Across The Hudson State Park”   which was an old train bridge converted into a pedestrian walkway and is now park of The Empire State Trail.

What to expect and how it works:

  • Register and we will send you all the specific meeting info you will need to know for the day.
  • You will take the 9:45am Metro North train to Poughkeepsie from NYC or points north or drive to the train station to meet the group. Your guide will be waiting.
  • All Covid guidelines/precautions will be enforced (see below)
  • At the end of the day the group will be brought back to the station.

Covid 19 Precautions

  • We will limit the number of attendees to 10 ( Normally 15) You may also drive to meet the group and follow the van to all the activities.
  • Masks must be worn when traveling in van, in close proximity at campsite and hikes.
  • All surfaces will be regularly sterilized.
  • Hand sanitizer will be readily available.
  • Social distancing while at the campsite and at all activities

Hike Difficulty Level: 3-4 out of 10.  There are separate 2 paths uphill that would be like climbing 8 flights of stairs at once.  There are some rock and roots on the path.

Cost:  $75 General members /  $65 Lifetime VIP members.

Included: transportation to and from train station to all activities. Hiking fee, Guide fee, wine tasting all taxes and tips.

Not included:  Lunch (you may bring your own or purchase locally), train fare.  The is no discount if you drive as we need to maintain a certain number of people for Covid safety.  Anything you may purchase along the way.

Can I come alone?  Yes, 98% of those attending this event normally register on their own. You welcome to bring as many non member guests, friends & co workers as you’d like, just make sure to register for the number of people that you want below. Our staff will be ready to greet you and introduce you to others whether you are on your own or with guests.

Do I need a ticket? If this is a free event, no. For paid events: It is always best to print out the ticket confirmation or save it on your devices as proof of purchase especially if you have purchased your ticket on the same day as the event..  

Dress Code:  Dress for the weather.  Hiking shoes or sneakers with good treads recommended.

How will I find the group?  We will send you a confirmation email with exact locations, contact info and names of those who are hosting the event when you register. We will send follow up emails as we get closer, usually the night before or morning of.

Ages: 21+  Most of our events attract 20’s -40’s although some events can skew younger or older (50’s) depending on the event. Some events are clearly age specific as indicated.   If this is an issue for you contact Dave at the address below and we can usually give you a very accurate idea of what to expect.

Who Comes to These?: Our activities attract NY Professionals from all backgrounds and professions who are looking to expand their social circles.  You will also find others who are looking to learn something, network for business, try something they have never done before or enjoy something they love doing but can’t get their friends to do. There may also be some people looking to find that someone special who share a passion for the same activities (but don’t make this the sole reason you come out).
