Enjoy a fun filled day out of the city in the beautiful Hudson Valley with other fun people from our group who love the outdoors and the start of the Fall colors.  We have put together a special set of activities that will give you a taste of the great outdoors and all that the region has to offer.  We will be hiking the Shaupeneak Ridge, Visit a local orchard and farm stand for Apple Picking and Stop by a Cider Farm for tasty samples.

Here is how it works:

• You will take the 8:45am Metro North Train from Grand Central (or drive) to Poughkeepsie train station.
• Your guide will meet you in Poughkeepsie at 10:44 am where they will bring you hike and lunch overlooking the valley.
• After the hike we will head to a local orchard to grab apples/pumpkins, cider donuts, fresh apple cider
• From there we will visit a local cider mill for samples (optional)
• The day ends with your guide bringing you back to the Poughkeepsie Train Station for the 5:50pm train back to NYC.

Cost:

$75 ( VIP Members $65) includes: round trip transportation to and from the train station and all activities, all park fees, guides, taxes and tips.

Not included: lunch (bring a bag lunch or order from a local deli) and train fare.  You may drive to meet the group at Poughkeepsie. Since not everyone drinks the hard cider is optional but only $10 for as flight of 5 samples

How hard is the hike?  There are some inclines.  This would be a 3-4 out of 10.  It helps to be in shape.  There may be roots and rocks on some paths.

Can I come alone?  Yes, 98% of those attending this event normally register on their own. You welcome to bring as many non member guests, friends & co workers as you’d like, just make sure to register for the number of people that you want below. Our staff will be ready to greet you and introduce you to others whether you are on your own or with guests.

Do I need a ticket? No we will have your name on a list

How will I find the group?  We will send you a confirmation email with exact locations, contact info and names of those who are hosting the event when you register. We will send follow up emails as we get closer, usually the night before or morning of.

Ages: 21+  Most of our events attract 20’s -40’s although some events can skew younger or older (50’s) depending on the event. Some events are clearly age specific as indicated.   If this is an issue for you contact Dave at the address below and we can usually give you a very accurate idea of what to expect.

Who Comes to These?: Our activities attract NY Professionals from all backgrounds and professions who are looking to expand their social circles.  You will also find others who are looking to learn something, network for business, try something they have never done before or enjoy something they love doing but can’t get their friends to do. There may also be some people looking to find that someone special who share a passion for the same activities (but don’t make this the sole reason you come out).
