WHEN: 4/24/21 @ 12 PM

WHERE: STATEN ISLAND, NYC | MEETING POINT FOREST AVENUE & RICHMOND AVENUE – MARCHING TO FOREST AVENUE & SOUTH AVENUE

WHY: The Staten Island community is coming together to host an Earth Day March to Save the Graniteville Wetlands.

The Graniteville Wetlands, a 42-acre green space in Mariner’s Harbor, Staten Island, that is on track to be developed into a BJ’s big-box wholesale store, despite consistent community efforts to object to the development.

Motivated by environmental justice and public health concerns, the community will come together to march in unison and peace. Our plea is to save the last forest on Forest Avenue.

This event will be a fun, powerful, community-oriented march that prioritizes peace. Calling ALL nature lovers, public health officials, community members, tribes, organizations, performers, congregations, and first-time marchers to Staten Island. We need and appreciate you, and I promise you will be glad that you are here with us!
