There is nothing like walking through thew woods on a crisp winter day. The crunch under your feet is the only thing you hear that breaks the silence except of course the dozens of great conversations you will be having with others on the trip that day as you walk past frozen waterfalls and lakes! Please note that this trip will only be held if the conditions are safe. How it works:
- Register and pay below to lock your space in for the Winter Hike.
- We will carefully monitor the trail conditions all week to see if it is safe to go.
- Our guide will pick you up at The Poughkeepsie Train Station. From there you will stop at a local pizzeria for lunch then head to the hike.
- Following the hike the group will go to The Culinary Institute of America for a snack and a craft beer or hot chocolate. (optional)
How hard is the hike?: We will be on mostly carriage paths (flat gravel roads). There are some slight inclines. The entire walk will be around 2 miles depending on the trails that are accessible. Mostly a level 5 out of 10.
Cost: $65 includes ($55 VIP Members): transportation to and from the Poughkeepsie Train station, park fees, guide fee's, taxes and gratuities.
Not included: Lunch, Train fare. (you may also drive to meet the group at the train station)
