Fencing is known as physical chess. It teaches decision-making skills, the ability to perform under pressure, developing and following strategies, as well as fostering good communication between team members. Participants will learn the rules of the strip, priority, footwork, get to participate in drills and open bouting learning. This is definitely a fun and different way to spend a Thursday evening! We have a private lesson for our members and friends booked. En guarde! How it works:
- We have room for 10 members of our group to experience this fun class at The Manhattan Fencing Center.
- Please arrive by 7:30pm for check in.
- Our NYSN host will be on hand to welcome you and introduce you to the others in the group.
- The Manhattan Fencing Center instructor will take it from there and set you up with all the gear you need and a fun lesson.
- Following the lesson the group will likely go to a nearby pub for food and drinks.
Cost: $60 includes fencing class and all the gear plus a contribution to your hosts experience.
