NY Tours for New Yorkers: Central Park Sunset History Walk & Cocktails at Tavern on the Green

Description:

Our tours are designed for New Yorker's not tourists.  It is a great way to learn more about the city that you live, work and play in as well as getting to meet tons of other fun people! The sun sets at 8:pm on this night so we have loads of time to enjoy the park and its history as the sun sets!

One of the most comprehensive tours of Central Park you will ever have!  Join members of NYSN and their friends for this private walking tour through the world’s most famous Urban Oasis during the most beautiful time of the year as the sun sets and the skyline comes alive.  You will find out the history of the park, see then and now photo’s and socialize along the way!   It is a fun way to spend the evening.

Highlight’s include:

The famous statues, Navy Terrace, Bethesda Fountain, Bow bridge, Literary Walk, The Ramble, Belvedere Castle, Sheep Meadow, Tavern on the Green, and more!

How it works:

- The group will meet from 6:45-7:15pm at Flame Asian Bistro at 82nd & Columbus avenue for pre - tour cocktails.

-At 7:15pm sharp we'll head into the park for the history tour which will end at Tavern on the Green's outdoor patio. Approx 9pm.

Can I skip the tour and come just for cocktails?  No,  sorry that defeats the purpose of the event.  Besides by that time everyone will have made connections within the tour group and you would be the odd man out by that point.

What should I wear? Wear comfortable shoes. Most people come from work

Can I come alone? Yes 99% of those attending will have signed up on their own.

Refunds given only if tour is canceled due to rain.  If cloudy the history tour still happens

Tour is Approx: 90 minutes.
