Join us as we take an adventure through this beautiful winter wonderland with a fun group of members and friends. A snowshoe is footwear for walking over the snow. Snowshoes work by distributing the weight of the person over a larger area so that the person's foot does not sink completely into the snow, a quality called "flotation". We have selected a pristine location for a winter hike that you won't forget. Your day will begin with the spectacular trip along the Metro North Railroad Hudson River Line to Poughkeepsie, NY (or you can drive). We will stop for a quick bite at Pizza Mia (voted the best pizza in the Hudson Valley) from there it is off to a beautiful nature preserve 2 hour journey through a snow covered forest. Following our hike we will go for hot chocolate and a cold beer at The Culinary Institute of America.
$100 includes: -Snow Shoe rental,-Hiking fees, guide fees and transportation from Poughkeepsie train station to all activities and back ($90 for VIP members)
