The Lower Hudson Valley is covered in a blanket of snow! Join us as we take an adventure through this beautiful winter wonderland with a fun group of members and friends. A snowshoe is footwear for walking over the snow. Snowshoes work by distributing the weight of the person over a larger area so that the person's foot does not sink completely into the snow, a quality called "flotation". We have selected a pristine location for a winter hike that you won't forget. Your day will begin with the spectacular trip along the Metro North Railroad Hudson River Line to Poughkeepsie, NY (or you can drive). We will stop for lunch at Pizza Mia, voted The Hudson Valley's #1 pizzeria several years in a row!
From there it is off to a beautiful nature preserve 2 hour journey through a snow covered forest. Following our hike we will go for hot chocolate.
